How does it work?

Using the FoodPass application, you add farmers to your own customer base. You provide them with free access to a farm management and crop monitoring system—FarmCloud—so you have access to up-to-date crop data and the current situation on the farm.

In FoodPass, you have access to fields and crops, treatment records, production economics, field observations, completed visits, and results of product and soil sample analyses. By monitoring growers' crops, you can send online recommendations, alerts and guidelines along with the required inputs.

By using remote sensing and sensor data, you can perform remote diagnostics.

Farm audits and inspections—including for GLOBALG.A.P. certification—are no longer just a formal requirement, but a real lever for improving quality, safety and sustainability of production. Growing buyer expectations, food quality and safety control, certification requirements and regulations (e.g., ESG, EUDR, CSRD) mean you need tools that organize processes, eliminate paperwork, and turn inspection results into concrete actions.

Remote and on-site advisory

FarmCloud combines expert knowledge with real field and crop data—exactly when it is needed. Farmers expect fast, practical guidance backed by facts, while advisors need a complete picture to recommend actions with confidence. FarmCloud gives both sides a shared workspace, reducing response time, minimizing risk and improving crop profitability.

An advisor can plan and carry out soil and product sampling, analyze results in the system and recommend fertilization based on them (built-in fertilization calculator). Personalized recommendations and alerts are delivered directly to the farmer—with rationale, timing and suggested actions.

A key element is the digital twin of the crop, which reflects the live situation in the field: from phenology observations, weather conditions and treatment history to forecasts and recommendations. Disease models warn about threats before symptoms appear, while geo-tagged photo notes and field observations document conditions on-site and allow advisors to assess crops remotely.

Crop status monitoring

Crop status monitoring in FarmCloud gives agricultural advisors a complete, up-to-date picture of plantation condition—from drought risk to crop development dynamics. The system combines weather and water analyses (balance, water comfort, irrigation doses) with soil and irrigation sensor data and in-app notifications, enabling faster decisions and precise actions in the field. In addition, advisors have access to crop protection recommendations—linked to treatment records and the list of approved products—as well as disease models with alerts and threat history. Satellite imagery (including NDVI, NDRE, MSAVI, RECI, NDMI) complements this by tracking changes over time, automatically delineating zones and planning precision fertilization.
