On 12 October 2026, we will take part in the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 Brokerage Event: Partnering for Nature, Agriculture and Resilience in Brussels.
Organised by Poland's National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), the event focuses on building international consortia for selected Horizon Europe 2027 calls under Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment. The programme includes pitching sessions, matchmaking, presentations of funding calls and one-to-one meetings with potential project partners from across Europe.
Digital technologies for more resilient agriculture
The themes of this year's event closely align with the areas we are developing through FarmCloud.
The topics highlighted by the organisers include sustainable agriculture, reducing pollution from agricultural production, Living Labs, the bioeconomy, farm resilience and digital solutions that support farming when access to water and nutrients is limited.
These are precisely the areas in which data is becoming increasingly important.
Modern agricultural systems should do more than record field operations or collect data from devices. They should make it possible to connect information about fields, production, machinery, weather, resource use, product quality and the entire supply chain.
Only then can data be used to make better decisions.
The areas we want to discuss
During our meetings in Brussels, we would particularly like to discuss projects involving:
- the digitalisation of farm management and agricultural production,
- MRV and the collection of reliable environmental data,
- product traceability from the field to the customer,
- the use of IoT, telemetry, weather and satellite data,
- environmental and emissions reporting,
- more efficient management of water, fertilisation and other resources,
- the use of data and AI to analyse agricultural production,
- data integration between farms, processors, advisers and other participants in the food supply chain.
From FarmCloud's perspective, we are particularly interested in projects where technology is part of a broader system, connecting research, farming practice, the food industry and real-world implementation.
Horizon Europe is first and foremost about partnerships
Cluster 6 projects usually require expertise that goes beyond the capabilities of any single company or institution.
They need partners with experience in agriculture, scientific research, environmental modelling, data analysis, new technologies, the food industry and working with farms in different regions of Europe.
For us, brokerage events are therefore primarily an opportunity to find complementary expertise and concrete use cases for technology.
The organisers expect participation from companies and SMEs, universities, research institutes, public authorities, NGOs, clusters and organisations supporting innovation.
